For over 25 years Gastech have been converting internal combustion engines to run 100% on,  or with a blend of, alternative fuels.
We have converted London Taxis from 100% diesel, to 100% LPG changing the engine from compression to spark ignition of the fuel.
We converted heavy transport vehicles to run on either 100% diesel, or a blend of up to 90% LNG & 10% diesel.
We have converted diesel power generation equipment (gensets) to run on biogas, and other projects to run on LNG or a blend of LNG.

Today we are the experts on converting internal combustion engines, to run on hydrogen.



 

 how do we do it?

We don't work on passenger or light commercial vehicles.  We focus on converting heavy road transport vehicles, power generation equipment and heavy materials handling equipment.  Why?  Because the one-off cost of applying our systems to an engine type, costs up to 10 times more than your average family car.  Typically our conversions range from $15k to over $100k an engine, depending on the development time and fuel storage system.
